Book Wizard
One of the ways to choose a book at OLCSS Library is to use the new Book Wizard. This fun program has a delightful cartoon wizard who asks your age and a series of questions to find out what sort of books you like to read. The result is a list of books showing a picture of the front cover, a synopsis of the story, and whether the book is currently available in the Library. Comments overheard so far have included, “He’s cute!” and “I’m going to borrow that book.”

This software is part of the recent upgrade to the Library’s software, Alice, which also included an SDI module (‘selective dissemination of information’ in library & information speak) - an alerting service to teaching staff about new resources.
